9 Twisty Thrillers to Read This Fall 🍂

I love reading mysteries and thrillers more than any other genre. They captivate me and can be hard to but down. Now that it’s Fall, it’s the perfect time to pick up a good thriller. Soo I’ve put together a list of my favorites for you to enjoy this season.

1. The Silent Patient

I loved this book so much. If you want to read a book that’s really good and hard to put down this is the book for you. I love it because the plot is so unique and it makes you want to know answers right away. This is such a twisty, unpredictable passionate read. It also had a great ending I did not see it coming. So so good, it is a must read.

2. The Arrangement

Another good one! I enjoyed the plot in this one and found it to be different and alluring. I like that it was modern, but still engaging. It also gave me serious Gone Girl vibes (which I love). And the ending was quite surprising and great. I was shocked and laughed at the checkmate move (you’ll know what I mean if you read it).

3. Behind her Eyes

All I have to say is, wow. This book is sooo gripping. I literally could not put it down. It’s so addicting and creepy in the best way. I could not stop thinking about this book when it was over. It impacted me so deeply and had kind of a ripple effect on me. It’s funny because soon after I read it Netflix released it as a series, so you know it’s good.

4. Verity

I have to say this is probably my favorite book by Colleen Hoover. I love really anything written by her. This book is romantic, passionate, sexy, twisty, dark, haunting, and a bit disturbing. It’s so good and perfect for this season.

5. Lock Every Door

I enjoyed this one. It was cool to read a more stereotypical “scary” book. The whole thing took place in a haunted hotel. It was pretty eerie and creepy. It had some pretty good suspenseful moments and a good plot twist at the end. It’s not my favorite if I’m being honest but still a good read.

6. The Last Mrs. Parrish

I loved this book so freaking much. Oh my gosh it’s so good! Probably my favorite book ever. Like it’s so good. The twists in this book were the best. I did not see them coming at all. I actually heard that Netflix is making this into a series. I’m so excited for it! Amazing book.

7. Dark Places

This is a really dark read but also really good. The setting felt very gritty and sad but also intriguing. I read this book pretty quickly but to be honest it is heavy so I actually recommend spreading it out if you can. Especially if you’re a more emotionally sensitive person.

8. Layla

This was an unexpected story line for me. Definitely different for Colleen Hoover. I liked that the characters in this book were true soulmates. When I realized that it really warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. It was really sweet. At the same time this story was also pretty messed up and gave me mixed feelings. I didn’t agree with how everything worked out even though I understood it. Anyway, overall I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty good.

9. Big Little Lies

I love this book and show so much. It made me laugh, cry, turned me on… It was just great. One of the main things I loved about this book was the atmosphere. It was set in Cali and really coastal and overcast mostly. I just felt entranced by this story and energy of the setting. It’s so alluring. Also most of the main characters were rich so there was a very affluent vibe to it. I actually love this for a summer time read, but it is eerie and mysterious so still fall appropriate. All the characters had an interesting storyline that kept me wanting to know more. I wish there were more to this series. Also Reese Witherspoon who played Madeline was so funny, like hilarious, which made me love it even more. So good. I adore this book.

I hope you get to enjoy these amazing books this fall! Let me know your favorite in the comment section below and any recommendations you have. Happy Fall 🍂
