Whether you’re traveling to Alaska or you’ve lived here for 20 years, here are 5 easy hikes to try, mostly from June through October. They’re all amazingly beautiful and some are easier than others. Either way, they’re so worth it and will fill you up with a sweet nature high. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
A gorgeous easy to moderate hike. It has stunning views and takes about 2 1/2 hours with a 3500 elevation. This is a popular hike so expect to see lot’s of people on the trail. Which can be good especially when it comes to scaring off bears.
A Beautiful hike to Barbara Falls in Eagle River. It takes about 1 hour to get to the falls and is a peaceful easy hike with a 101 elevation. the waterfalls and lakes are the stars of the show! It’s perfect for kids and dogs.
My favorite! I live this hike its so beautiful, you feel like you’re on a planet of mountains once you reach the top. 2.8 mile hike round trip with an elevation of 1,148 ft elevation. Takes about 2 hours to complete.
Beautiful gorgeous hike with spectacular views! It is moderate and pretty steep but worth it. It’s about 9 miles round trip with 4,540 ft in elevation.
A classic easy Alaskan hike! I love this one. It’s super easy, definitely the easiest one on this list. It’s a 1 mile hike with a 100ft elevation. the waterfall views are gorgeous and it’s great all year round. Awesome for kids, dogs and elderly.
